If you didn't get enough craft beer cheer at the Holiday Ale Festival in Portland, go check out this weekend's Vancouver Winter Brewfest at Esther Short Park.
It features a great beer lineup from various Washington breweries you don't regularly see in Portland along with a fantastic list of holiday beers from no fewer than TWELVE breweries that are cranking out fantastic beer in the greater Vancouver area. I think the craft beer scene in Vancouver is growing faster than anywhere else in the region right now.
Also happening this weekend: Occidental Brewing Company's Humbug Lager Fest. It's Saturday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. It will feature a wide variety of lagers (light to dark, easy drinking to strong and bold) from Occidental and other local breweries.
Finally a shout-out for the Beer Geek's friends at Imperial Bottle Shop & Taproom in Southeast Portland. They are celebrating the "21 Days of Festivus" by posting daily giveaways on their Facebook page. Winners will receive prizes ranging from $5 gift cards and swag from local breweries. The awesome Grand Prize is a , a $1 growler-a-week for all of 2016! There will be special tappings too. Stop in and say "hi" to Alex & Shawn.
