I mentioned on today's show that I didn't think Packy the Elephant should be the Grand Marshall of the Grand Floral Parade. I got oa text from someone telling me not to be a "hater". This has become a real hot button for me. Hate has become an overused word and I believe its being used out of context. Suddenly, on talk radio, in editorial columns, on tv shows, and elsewhere, if I disagee with you I'm "hating". Isn't that a bit of a leap? I don't hate you. I disagree with you. I love my wife and we sometimes disagree. Does that mean I'm "hating" her? It just seems to me like a way to win and argument by disarming the person you're arguing with and its becomeing more and more prevalent.
If you don't agree with what I just said, I don't hate you. Honest
