I'm really excited about tomorrow's mayoral candidate debate. I've never been a panelist for a debate before so I'll be doing something my wife calls "putting a new color in my paintbox". Frankly, I've always wanted to do this and I'll admit to being a bit nervous. With Mark Garber of the Portland Tribune and Mike Donahue from KOIN Local 6 sitting with me I'll be in some pretty impressive company. I hope I can do this justice. I don't intend to ask the hard-hitting "newsy" questions. Those guys will handle that admirably. I want to ask the every man stuff like "what will you call that large decorated evergreen in the middle of Pioneer Square every December? Tune in...find out what they say.
